Rose Window

Get kids excited about math with this fun, hands-on collaborative project. Typically done during a Family Math Night event, this project can also be done in the classroom. The best part is, each participant is individually represented in the final product!

In this stunningly beautiful project, participants will be creating a “stained glass” pane using geometry and fractions that will be used to create a rose window. (A rose window is a circular window made of stained glass typically found in French Cathedrals built during the Medieval period.)

Along with the pdf, you’ll receive a link to the video version of the lesson where I walk you through the three levels of the activity and share tips on setting up the station.
