Fibonacci Flower Garden

Get kids excited about math with this fun, hands-on collaborative project. Typically done during a Family Math Night event, this project can also be done in the classroom. The best part is, each participant is individually represented in the final product!

Students will get their creative juices flowing when they design a flower using one (or more) of the numbers in the Fibonacci sequence. Fibonacci numbers are generated by adding the previous two numbers starting with 0 and 1. The first six numbers in the sequence are 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5.
