I’m excited to share with you that we’ve added another new item to our Family Math Night kits – Family Math Night Passports. Students will be able to collect stickers as they go around to the different stations to add to their passport. We’ve even included an option for you to customize your passports with any additional stations you may include at your event.

We updated the Reminder Stickers in our Nifty Numbers, Math Medley, and Gellin’ with Geometry Family Math Night kits. We even included text boxes so that you can customize them with your specific event. These are perfect to send home with the little ones to remind families of your event. Simply apply them to their shirt as they walk out the door at the end of the day. Easy peasy. And what’s really fun is to watch kids show up to the Family Math Night wearing their sticker!

Today’s schools know that educating our children requires a team effort and that building connections between families and schools is key to developing academic achievement for all children. One way to build these connections is through Family Math Night events. Hosting a Family Math Night can help build strong family-school partnerships, engage parents meaningfully, and contribute to achieving high standards.

This year I decided to add the 0-120 number grids to my K-2 estimation jar. The number grids come from our Math Medley kits and kids can use dry eraser markers to “think” as they’re working out their estimation. Of course, there’s the thinking paper and the referents, as well.
